Yan Ren was born and raised in Northeast China and graduated from New York University Tandon School of Engineering in 2009. She worked as a Software Engineer for years and now lives in Darien with her husband and two daughters. In 2023 and 2024, she taught Mandarin Chinese and STEM class at Darien After School. Besides teaching, Yan loves exploring the world through being in nature, traveling, reading, and embracing her creative side.
