Scout Programs

Bring your scout group to the Darien Nature Center for adventures in the natural world. Earn a badge or petal, award, achievement or complete a service project while getting a chance to meet our live animals and hike through Cherry Lawn Park. Lindsey DeVito, Program Coordinator can help you choose a program that is right for your group or work with you to create your own.



Program Details

  • Programs run for 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the program
  • $12 per scout with $150 minimum
  • If weather permits, most programs are a mix of indoors and outdoors.

  • How do I arrange a scout program with Darien Nature Center?

  • What is the cost of a scout program?

    Scout programs run from 1 to 1.5 hours and cost $12 per scout with a total of $150 minimum.

  • Are scout programs held inside or outside?

    Depending on the badge(s), your program could be totally or partially outside. Please dress appropriately for the weather (including boots, as our trails can get muddy!)

  • Do I need to bring anything, like supplies, with me?

    No. The Nature Center provides all materials needed for your program. In the circumstance that you need to bring something, you will be notified by the organizer ahead of time.
