Britt Bair is an abstract expressionist artist. Color and light are the elements that inspire her – seeing how the air affects light, creating a glow that brings vibrance and energy into the moment. She takes that feeling of light and tries to incorporate it into her abstracts. Britt has won many awards at local shows and has painted in Italy, Canada, throughout New England and Florida. Her work has been seen at galleries, museums, art centers, and local venues. She is a member of the Silvermine Artist Guild, Rowayton Arts Center, New Canaan Art Center and the Darien Art Center.

Donna Collins grew up outside Philadelphia where her interest in painting and drawing began as a young teenager. She attended Yale College where she received a BA in Art. After studying and working as a landscape architect, she returned to painting. Her art is an expression of her love of nature. The forms of flowers, the shapes of landscapes, the sparkle of light on water – all have a part in her inspiration – but above all is color. Colors have such energy and beauty; they are an endless source of exhilaration. Donna’s goal as an artist is to stir appreciation and joy.

Ronnie Gold is a pastelist and painter, creating her art in an abstract and impressionistic style. Her passion for color led her initially to pastels with their vast range of colors making the process of painting spontaneous and fluid. After a successful career designing home decorative fabrics and running her own company, she turned to painting full time. Ronnie resides in Stamford CT. She is a member of many local art associations and pastel societies and recently received Signature Status from the Connecticut Pastel Society as well as admitted to the Pastel Society of America as an Associate Member.

Lisa Thorén captures fresh ideas and light through plein air painting and drawing in her sketchbook wherever she travels. Her style is graphic and she enjoys working in all mediums. Her playful patterns and colors bring whimsy to this show. Lisa is a Silvermine Guild member and was president of the Darien Arts Center. Her award-winning art has been in the Parsons School of Design alumni show, Stanford University Medical Center, Art of the Northeast, and Darien Nature Center’s classroom murals. Lisa is a native Darienite, and teaches art at the Rowayton Art Center and Mather Homestead.
